Designing a car logo is no joke. A logo must represent the Brand, marketing plan, motive behind the company, why it is unique, ensure that it is different from other companies logos and ultimately be proprietary! The logos have become status symbols, but they have actually got a lot more depth than you can think of. So, lets explore 13 car logos and what they actually mean!
1.Audi
The Audi emblem with its four rings identifies one of Germany’s oldest-established automobile manufacturers. It symbolizes the amalgamation in 1932 of four previously independent motor-vehicle manufacturers: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. These companies form the roots of what is today AUDI AG.
2.Toyota
In 1990, Toyota debuted the three overlapping Ellipses logo on American vehicles. The Toyota Ellipses symbolize the unification of the hearts of our customers and the heart of Toyota products. The background space represents Toyota’s technological advancement and the boundless opportunities ahead.
3.BMW
The current BMW logo is said to be inspired from the circular design of a rotating aircraft propeller. The white and blue checker boxes are supposed to be a stylized representation of a white/silver propeller blade spinning against a clear blue sky.
4.Lamborghini
The Lamborghini logo symbolizes the founder’s zodiac character – the Taurus or a bull. Ferruccio’s love of bullfights was depicted in the logo and Lamborghini cars get their styles from famous bulls. The golden bull ready for bullfights is depicted on the black shield with the golden title “Lamborghini” above.
5.Tesla
The Tesla logo is intended to represent the cross-section of an electric motor.”T” as representing one of the poles that stick out of a motor’s rotor, with the second line on top representing a section of the stator.
6.Ford
Ford logo is a flattened oval figure designed in several shades of blue and white colors. The famous stylish Henry Ford signature is embedded into the oval.
7.Chevrolet
Chevrolet’s “bowtie” logo has long represented one of the most successful automotive producers in history. It stands for the heritage and vision of Chevy vehicles, and has been used on the models at Chevrolet dealerships since 1913.
8.Ferrari
The famous symbol of Ferrari is a black prancing horse on yellow background, usually with the letters S F for Scuderia Ferrari. The horse was originally the symbol of Count Francesco Baracca, a legendary “asso” (ace) of the Italian air force during World War I, who painted it on the side of his planes.
9.Jaguar
Jaguar was meant to symbolize the core values, pursued by the company: grace, elegance, performance, power and ambition to move forward.
10.Rolls Royce
This symbol means the spirit of this car, namely, speed with absence of vibration, silence, and the mysterious harness of great force and a beautiful alive organism of superb plenty.
11.Volvo

12.Tata motor
The Tata logo symbolizes fluidity and adaptability. It is also said to depict a fountain of knowledge, or a tree of trust under which people can take shelter.The blue color in the Tata logo stands for excellence, reliability and strength of the company’s products.
13.Hyundai
While the “H” in Hyundai’s automobile logo does stand for the company’s name, it’s also a stylized picture: a silhouette of two individuals shaking hands. One individual is a company representative and the other is a satisfied customer.
