No Annual Fee Credit Cards with No Foreign Transaction Fees for December 2019

With the variety of credit cards available today, there is no reason to pay foreign transaction fees. Even better, many of the no foreign transaction fee credit cards have no annual fee as well. Here's some cards we recommend.Travelling abroad usually isn’t that cheap, and between your airplane, hotel or Airbnb, food and drinks, and entertainment costs, most people don’t have much appetite for unnecessary fees.

Thankfully with the number of credit cards available today, there is no reason to pay foreign transaction fees when travelling abroad.

The best part about the variety of credit cards available is that there are a number of cards with no foreign transaction fees and no annual fee.

Today I’ll share a few of my picks for no annual fee credit cards with no foreign transaction fees. If you want, you can browse all the credit cards with no foreign transaction fees, though this list will include cards with an annual fee as well.

Here’s the cards I recommend:

Capital One® SavorOne℠ Cash Rewards Credit Card

Capital One SavorOne Credit Card No Foreign Transaction FeesThe Capital One® SavorOne℠ Cash Rewards Credit Card is a great cash back credit card, with 3% cash back on dining and entertainment, 2% at grocery stores and 1% on all other purchases.

This card has the added benefit of 0% intro APR on purchases for 15 months, though I do recommend paying off your credit card balance in full each month.

Bonus: One-time $150 cash bonus after you spend $500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening. There’s also 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 15 months (3% fee on the amounts transferred within the first 15 months).

Annual Fee: None

Foreign Transaction Fees: None

Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card

Capital One VentureOne Credit Card No Foreign Transaction FeesThe Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card has a great bonus as well as a limited time offer where you can earn 10X miles on thousands of hotels, through January 2020.

This card comes with the added benefit of 0% intro APR on purchases for 12 months.

Bonus: 20,000 miles once you spend $1,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening, equal to $200 in travel.

Annual Fee: None

Foreign Transaction Fees: None

These are just a couple of the options for no foreign transaction fee credit cards. Like I said earlier, you can browse all the offers here. Some of these will have an annual fee, but many are waived for the first year.

One of my favorite travel cards, the Chase Sapphire Preferred, also offers the benefit of no foreign transaction fees. It comes with an annual fee, but the sign-up bonus and other perks you receive with it may make it worth your while (it did for me and my wife).

Hopefully this has helped you in your search for the perfect card for your trips abroad!
