Since we’ve been able to spend more time at home over the past few months, it’s allowed me to finally to get some small projects that I’ve been meaning to do for years. Simple things like getting photos printed out, framing art and reorganizing or moving pieces around to fit our daily needs. Our home has been getting a lot more attention and I love having the time to do so. I have a few favorite ways of freshening up a room, adding things like a new pillow, piece of artwork, lamp, mirror, or table accessory to make a space come alive. Or maybe new wallpaper, curtains or shades in complementary colors to breathe new life into a room. Even just adding photos of my favorite memories in pretty frames (I have these and these) or getting a bouquet of fresh flowers, make me smile when I walk into a space.
Throw Pillows
Adding new pillows instantly updates a room with minimal effort. Search for new colors, textures, and patterns on sites like Etsy where you can find custom-made pillows in a variety of designer fabrics.
Wallpaper
Adding wallpaper to a small space like a powder room is an easy project that you can do on your own or with the help of a professional. If you’re renting, removable wallpaper is a great solution that can easily be peeled off later on.
Artwork
We’ve been slowly collecting our artwork over the years, thoughtfully waiting to find the perfect piece for each space. This original painting by Kayce Hughes is versatile enough to match any decor style while making a statement on it’s own.
