& Other Stories Top (sold out, similar here), & Other Stories Pants, Quilt from the Bahamas (similar here)
The recent sunshine and warm weather has us spending more time enjoying our meals and playtime outside, whether it’s a morning breakfast on the porch, afternoon picnic on the lawn, or a Cinco de Mayo early evening celebration, as we are planning for today! I’ve been spreading out home quilts and blankets we’ve collected, followed with plates and baskets of goodies to eat and toys for Clementine to play with. Our wraparound porch has seating, but it is fun to layer quilts and blankets for a large cushioned play space. On the lawn, a quilt, as seen here, is all that’s needed to create a picnic spread. We’ve found our large umbrella comes in handy for added shade, particularly in the afternoon, but mornings are delightful under the shadows of our large oak. We look forward to taking our picnic quilts and blankets to the beach and park once we are able to. But for now, we’re enjoying time together as a family on our deck and lawn – our perfect picnic havens!
Embroidered Quilt Set
I recently found this quilt set from Target and instantly fell in love with the sweet embroidered florals set against a soft blue border. It is now a part of my growing blue and white quilt collection.
Block Print Quilt
Etsy is a wonderful resource for finding unique and custom home decor. This handmade blue and white block-printed quilt works well in both the home and for a spring or summertime picnic.
Strawberry Print Quilt
While I usually lean towards classic blue and white or pink floral quilts, I couldn’t resist this adorable children’s quilt from Anthropologie. The cheerful strawberry print is fun for playful afternoons both inside or outdoors.
