Taking advantage of her furlough, she decided to *finally* make her dream business a reality, and I was over-the-moon to be able to help her. Now she’s the full-time founder of Sara G. Evans Career Consulting, and is ready to help motivated professionals who need a change for the better, and organizations seeking help with professional growth for their top talent. Why did you decide to work with me?
After years of getting excited by your “teaser” emails, Covid-19 happened and I was furloughed from Marriott International. This time, I decided it was finally time to make my dream of owning my own business come true!
What were you doing work-wise when we started working together – and what are you doing now?
When we started working together I was doing organizational development work for Marriott. Now, I am leaving my job with Marriott to make Sara G. Evans Career Consulting a full time job.
What was your biggest takeaway from our work together?
Running a successful business is about more than just providing a great product/service. How you conduct business (i.e., pricing strategy, marketing approach and procedural policies) can be the difference between a successful full-time business and a part-time hobby.
Think of someone who is currently in the shoes you wore when we first started working together. What advice do you have for her?
Trust your gut and go for it. Michelle can help you turn your dream into a reality – but you have to put in the work.

Networking should be an everyday activity and mindset for anyone who wants to be a business owner. Stop waiting for the perfect resume and start telling people what you’re doing.
