AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout (Comparison Review)

Product competition on Amazon is hardly scarce, which is why research is necessary to stay ahead of the game. Having the right tools is crucial to pulling valuable product and listing data, which is why I decided to review AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout.

Both AMZ Tracker and Jungle Scout are well-known browser extensions.

If you are looking to invest in a product research tool for your Amazon business, here is what you need to know about these two popular options.

AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout – Features & Capabilities

AMZ Tracker

AMZ Tracker helps sellers work more strategically and efficiently by giving them access to product and competitor data.

The first set of features helps sellers target new customers more effectively. Conversion Rate Accessor, DeepWords, and Keyword Ranker are all optimisation tools. By selecting the right keywords and monitoring conversion rates, sellers can attract and convert more of their customers.

AMZ Tracker Keyword Ranker

They also have a Super URL tool, which directs social media traffic to Amazon product pages.

One word of warning about using super URLs, some people interpret them as being against Amazon’s terms of services. I don’t use super URLs when launching a product I stick with the search find buy method.

While these features are more offensive, AMZ Tracker has also included a few features to help with your defensive strategy.

The Negative Reviews Notifications feature ensures you can respond to negative customer feedback promptly. There is also a Hijack Alerts feature that makes sellers aware of any rival sellers attempting to hijack their listing.

AMZ Tracker Negative Reviews Feature

Naturally, you also need to monitor your store’s progress and optimisation strategies, which is why AMZ Tracker sends sellers comprehensive reports via email.

Now for the important part – the predictive features. Staying ahead of product trends is how you stand out from competitors. Fortunately, AMZ Tracker also has features that help sellers assess new opportunities and analyse competitor tactics.

The Competitor Analysis tool helps sellers keep a close eye on competitor strategies and sales performance. Sellers can also use the Product Tracking feature to see how their products perform against competitors.

The Keyword Research tool highlights which keywords your competitors’ listings are missing, allowing you to improve your listings.

Have you ever heard of Unicorn Smasher? This Chrome extension is included in your AMZ Tracker package.

Once installed, Unicorn Smasher can help you identify product alternatives, niches, and market opportunities to make your Amazon store a success.

Overall, AMZ Tracker is not just a product research tool. It’s a suite of services that can help sellers grow their online businesses.

Next, let’s look at how Jungle Scout weighs up.

Jungle Scout

Like AMZ Tracker, Jungle Scout can do a lot more than tell you which products you should consider selling.

Sellers initially knew Jungle Scout as a Chrome browser ext; today, there is also a feature-rich app available to new and seasoned sellers.

Jungle Scout can also provide you with information on prospective products. However, I find that the data you receive is far more in-depth. Sales performance, competitor data, and product popularity are just some of the metrics used to provide users with detailed data.

Sellers can even view the possible profit margins and FBA fees associated with a potential product.

The Product Tracker tool allows users to track and compare key product metrics, while the Supplier Database simplifies the search for reputable suppliers.

In a moment you’ll see why this is a gamechanger for me.

Jungle Scout Supplier Database

Jungle scout certainly has quite a few tools that Amztracker does not.

My personal favourite is the supplier database tool if you use it in the right way you can find the suppliers your main competitors are using!

In the video below, I show you exactly how you can do this using the database tool.

As with AMZ Tracker, Jungle Scout also gives users the ability to explore product niches using the Niche Hunter tool.

You can easily enhance your keyword strategies by using Keyword Scout.

Need detailed reports? The Analytics features help track your progress every step of the way.

There is also a new handy feature you can use called Launch; sellers can use this tool to automate email campaigns and target ready-to-buy shoppers.

One word of warning with this tool, recently Amazon has changed their terms of services on the customer messaging side of things.

Make sure you fully understand these changes before you jump into any automated amazon messaging tool.

Features & Capabilities – The Winner

While both platforms offer an array of useful features, your choice will depend on what you want to achieve.

Personally, Jungle Scout is better suited to advanced sellers that need tools to help them develop advanced sales and marketing strategies. I’m not saying that new sellers can’t benefit from Jungle Scout, as with any new tool or process there is a learning curve to consider.

Overall, Jungle Scout is more feature-rich, and the data is far more detailed than what AMZ Tracker offers.

When it comes to features and capabilities, Jungle scout is the clear winner.

Before we make a final call, let’s look at another critical factor – pricing.

As a side note, if you want to consider an additional option, read my ASINspector vs Jungle Scout review.

AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout – Pricing

Jungle Scout

Jungle Scout users can choose between three pricing plans that are payable monthly and annually.

The Basic plan is $19 monthly and includes some basic features. Unfortunately, users can only track up to 3 products. I suppose this is fine if you are starting.

The Suite and Professional packages are $49 and $84 per month respectively and include far more features.

If you would like to try Jungle Scout, you don’t need to pay the prices above, with this exclusive discount you can get it for a lot less. If you aren’t happy, they do offer a 14-day moneyback guarantee.

AMZ Tracker

In my opinion, this is where it becomes a little clearer as to which tool you should use. AMZ Tracker is far more expensive than Jungle Scout.

The Basic package starts at $50 per month, but at least you can track up to 50 products.

The Professional, God Mode, and Legend packages are between $100 and $400 per month, with the maximum number of products you can track being 3,000.

The good news is that you can take advantage of a free 7-day trial if you still want to try AMZ Tracker.

Pricing – The Winner

There is a clear winner here for me, and again it’s jungle scout.

When you compare the features and capabilities, jungle scout offers more for less (just my opinion, of course).

AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout – Support

Before I commit to any new tool, I like to ensure I have access to support should I need it.

If you need assistance, AMZ Tracker has a live chat feature on their website. Unfortunately, it’s not available 24/7, so you may need to wait for a response. You can always refer to their library of helpful articles and guides, but this might not give you the exact answers you need.

Unless you send the AMZ Tracker team a message or start a live chat within support hours, there is no way to get in touch with them.

Along with its in-depth resources section, Jungle Scout can be contacted via email and chat 24/7, resulting in a timelier response.

Also, another useful point to mention, both Jungle Scout and AMZ Tracker support multiple marketplaces.

Alternatives to Consider

As a seller who needs assistance with product research as well as listing optimisation, there are two alternatives I recommend you consider.

Viral Launch

viral launch review

Viral Launch is an easy-to-use platform; in the past, I’ve used it to help identify product opportunities and analyse potential markets. I enjoy using their Market Intelligence feature as it helps me uncover products that are ideal for my store.

I cover every one of their tools in the review below.

Helium 10

Helium 10

Helium 10 is undoubtedly one of the most feature-rich tools I have ever used. I use a lot of their tools almost daily; my personal favourites are BlackBox, magnet and profits.

The article below is a long one, but it explains exactly how I use all of their features.

AMZ Tracker vs Jungle Scout – The Verdict

There are many similarities between these two tools; both can help Amazon sellers enhance their overall performance.

It all comes down to the specific functionality you need. If you want a tool that will serve you as a beginner through to an advanced level, I can happily recommend Jungle Scout.

If you are a new seller and can’t decide, I suggest taking advantage of AMZ Tracker’s free trial and Jungle Scout’s moneyback guarantee.
