Fall Dress Code

Outfit Details:

Doen DressHeadband, Mango Sandals (sold out, similar here)

I was pleasantly surprised to arrive home this past week to find that fall had finally arrived in Charleston. It gives me an excuse to add my new soft zip-up fleece over one of my favorite floral dresses, and replace the sandals I was wearing last week with new brown suede flats to venture outside. Meanwhile, my closet floor is laden with dresses as I decide on new ways to style them. Many are mid length, but I also have an affinity for mini dresses, keeping them current with tall boots as the weather permits. From florals, to plaids, to solids in rich autumn hues, dresses remain an essential part of the looks I’ll be wearing this season. See below for a round-up of some of my favorite fall styles.

Floral Print Gauze Dress

A ruffled neckline, long sleeves and maxi length give this dress the perfect fall feel, with a subtle floral print that pairs perfectly with boots or loafers.

Ruffled Mini Dress

Come fall, it’s refreshing to switch things up with a mini dresses, like this dusty pink style, with tall boots and a cropped jacket.

Ruffled Hem Midi Dress

I’m always drawn to a romantic silhouette, like the one found in this ruffled hem floral midi dress. As the weather cools down, slip on a white turtleneck underneath for added warmth.
